Black tie weddings have always created drama and are becoming increasingly popular thanks to our overseas friends in the states! For this shoot we have taken the classic black tie elements but shaken things up a bit by styling one of our grooms in a gorgeous rich hunter green velvet tuxedo ‘Jasper’ jacket by ‘Benetti’ from Bennetts Menswear located in The Chic Wedding Showrooms. Any why shouldn’t a groom have a bouquet and veil too? Add those extra details to really make your wedding stand out from the rest and add that unexpected wow factor. Our other groom wore a classic black tuxedo and our maids soft satin TH&TH dresses in sage green from Victoria’s Bridal Bouquet at The Chic Wedding showrooms.
We choose classic white blooms with lots of fresh greenery to bring the glorious outside in. Heavily scented gorgeous seasonal flowers reminiscent of the formal gardens on The Chapel House Estate. Sweetly scented peonies, blousy white hydrangeas, garden roses, fragrant stocks, dark eyed anemone and ranunculus complimented by dark green soft ruscus foliage, ivy tendrils and asparagus fern.
When thinking about your venue styling be sure to complement or work with what is already in your venue. Using the gold accents around the venue we opted for a touch of ballroom glamour with the introduction of a trio of clean edged deco inspired square topped arched smothered with masses of luxury florals and foliage making a fabulous backdrop for the top table but also used to frame the stunning cake a 3 tier design with acrylic separator adorned with pressed flowers from Shelley’s Cakes at The Chic Wedding Showrooms.
A mix of tall and short floral table centres worked so well on the long wooden banqueting tables adding height and drama with soft sage green chiffon running through the tables cascading to the floor at either end with clusters of pillar, votive and green taper candles to add that warm candle glow. The overall look – a contemporary twist on classic Hollywood glamour.
